My research agenda revolves around human performance.  Essentially, I explore how our environment, personal thoughts, and cognitive factors impact performance in the classroom as well as the workplace.  Topics include self-concept, self-esteem, anxiety, time pressure, and bilingualism.  Recent interests have focused on cognitive factors such as working memory and fluid intelligence on performance in the workplace.  Published research includes:
